Content appears to be what I was looking for, but water damaged book at the price used left me very disappointed that someone thought it was a fair price at that condition, which was overrated. Again, good book and content so far, poor quality by seller.

I found several concepts very helpful, especially the Three Key Factors model for executive coaching and the description of the Client Responsibility Model. Mary Beth O'Neill also shares, with examples, how to help a client identify habitual behavioral patterns that might not be effective and a methodology to recognize those patterns and create new, more effective ones. This book is filled with insightful wisdom...a real gem.

Excellent Window to Explore Flight dynamics

This is a suitable textbook for students doing flight dynamics course. It was one of the 4 flight dynamics books I used in my course AE 426 at my university KFUPM. The others are Introduction to Aircraft Flight Dynamics, The Dynamics of Flight: The equations, and Dynamics of Flight. This review reflects my personal point of view concerning this book after a comparison I made between this book and the others motioned above.
1)Compared to (Introduction to Aircraft Flight Dynamics) and (Dynamics of Flight), this book is richer in information. It really gives more details. And this is something remarkable about it.
2)The book has very good balance between theory and application.
3)Simple to understand and it explains concepts clearly.
4) There are 9 excellent appendixes in this book that will help you refreshing your mind and can be used as summaries.
5)Unfortunately, students will find NO problems at the end of each chapter to exercise.
6)This book provides students with excellent number of examples. However, a lot of them are solved easily by PC programs like Matlab. Hence, this is the best book in flight dynamics (compared to the ones I mentioned above) to practice solving problems by software like Matlab. But, no PC programs are provided in this book. It assumes that you know one of the software used by flight dynamicists
7)Some of the examples in this book are among the problems I faced in my major exams.
8)It states the objectives in the beginning of each chapter.
9)Better figures are provided in this book compared to the others I used.
10)This book has made me very interested in further study in this complicated field of aerospace engineering.
11)It was one of the reference books that I used to do my projects. That is, it was helpful in doing my project.

A very interesting book, but not the complete text of Panzram's autobiography

This is a very interesting book, as much for what it tells us about the conditions and pratices of American prisons in the first half of the 20th century as it does about Panzram himself. One thing worth noting, though, is that some reviews of the book mention that it includes the complete text of Panzram's autiobiography along with the editors' supplemental material. However, I don't believe that to be the case... what we get are only excerpts from what is likely a much longer autobiographical work. The web description of Panzram at the University of San Diego (where his original papers are stored) mention that only "parts of Panzram's manuscript" were used in the book. It's a shame we don't get the whole text (and USD hasn't put it online).

I do think it's unfortunate that the book is subtitled "A Journal of Murder", because Panzram's actual acts of murder are only minor elements of the book. It's much more about his life, his time in prisons, and the prisons themselves.

Riveting reading for Serial Killer Researchers

I write about serial killers. I have to try and see through their eyes. This is a fabulous book, probably THE book that started the nurture vs nature discussions by psychologists and psychiatrists around the World. Panzram holds nothing back. You can't be squeamish and read this book. It is riveting and hard to put down. You get a brutal view of how hard and difficult life was an 1800's pioneer/settler. The saddest thing about this book for me, is that Panzram was as brilliant a writer as Jack London was.

Interesting book, but a sad story. Panzram's early life was ....no life. He was abused physically and mentally - from early childhood to the very end of his life.

For someone uneducated, he had a great way of expressing his feelings through words.

Absorbing and well-written

Jeff Kunerth's skill as a reporter is wonderfully evident in this beautifully written and meticulously researched book about a sad, senseless murder committed one long-ago night by three foolish young men -- and the consequences that followed. Narrative nonfiction is always tricky to write well, but Kunerth pulls it off wonderfully with this perfectly paced novel. If this were a newspaper feature, I have no doubt it would be up for a Pulitzer. I couldn't put it down! A relatively short, very meaningful read; highly recommended.

A Riveting Cautionary Tale

The author took me deep into the lives of the teens who committed a heinous and ridiculous murder in such a way that I cannot get them out of my mind. Kunerth's creative nonfiction gives the reader a taste of each boy's family life, his need to fit into a group--any group, his naive bravado and recklessness and finally his evolution moving into middle age behind bars. We have all known boys like this. Turns out our parents were right when they said not to hang around with the wrong crowd. In Florida, that can get you a life sentence even if you are just an unwitting hanger-on. The teenage brain is on trial on many levels in Trout. The debate about how old you must be to be sentenced as an adult and the way it is handled from state to state and nation to nation comes down to this--it varies. What does not vary is the fact that the human brain takes a long time to form in the areas of impulsivity, reasoning and consequences. Add to that the increase of violent behavior when in groups and you find a powder keg of potential explosives during the high school years. Teens with absent or abusive families and a sense of hopelessness think they have little to lose. This cautionary tale should be read in middle and high schools across the country. And...if we can be a positive influence in a young person's life--let's do it.
