Great, user-friendly reference guide to medications

This book is a clear, user-friendly, well-organized reference book updated with DSM-V diagnoses and recent clinical research on current medications used for each diagnosis. It is a good reference for medical professionals as it has recommended labs, dosage information, black box warnings, etc. It is also clear enough and basic for allied mental health professionals such as psychologists, therapists, and social workers to enhance their understanding of the medications that their consumers may be on. Consumers likewise can easily look up the symptoms of their diagnoses as well as the risks, benefits, and side effects of their particular medications.
The book is very well-organized and dense but much of the information is bulleted or bold so it is quick to scan and get the information you need.

Good Resource for Psychiatric Medications

As an instructor for psychiatric nurse practitioner students, I recommend this book as a good clinical resource for students to review medication indications, dosing, contraindications, common side effects, black box warnings, tapering, and use of these medications in special populations. This book contains a very easy to follow format to review different classes of medications as well as OTC, Dietary, and Herbal supplements used in psychiatry. This book also contains a section on important DSM 5 changes as well as ETC and other brain stimulation therapies which were nicely summarized. The book is lightweight and reasonably priced for the amount of information contained.

It's starting to make sense!

This collection of essays by Sol�-Morales is a very good place to start if you want to understand contempory architectural thought in a wider perspective. Although the author has his own particular viewpoint and refers to the theory and practice of many different architects, artists and philosophers, he always has important points to make in each essay. The structure of the book as autonomous essays with themes which recur throughout the book enable an understanding which does not depend on rigorous knowledge of philosophical lines of thought. In this way the book provides a useful starting point for deeper inquiry into how the modernist project in all disciplines has fragmented. Sol�-Morales is comprehensive and far-sighted in his acknowledgement of lines of thought and action such as the radical critique of the 60's and it's significance to architecture. The main premise of the book is a particular way of thinking with which Sol�-Morales tries to place architectural works and thought. His enthusiastic reinterpretation of the work of Mies in 'Mies van der Rohe and Minimalism' is remarkable in it's clarity. I found his praise of the work of contempory architects such as Foster, a little too optimistic in relation to the current situation however (High tech, functionalism or rhetoric).

Indifferences

The mediocrity of thought culled in these essays is equal to the quality of the translation. De Sola-Morales was a fine architect and an important theorist. His death was a great loss to the community of minds that comprise our discipline. This collection is far from his best effort. Look elsewhere, particularly his essay in the 2G publication of the Barcelona Pavilion reconstruction which demonstrates the nimble intellect of a cultured man.

a good way to see architecture.

Personally, I think that is a good book. Other readers may not buy what the writer thinks but I think that it is really good to know an opinion and to understand his argument. This book inspires me to rethinking about architecture in a deeper and alternative way and help me to know what I want to pursuit in the future. The writer comments on different styles of the contemporary architecture and he implies a new way of future architecture.

I ENJOYED THIS BOOK SO MUCH. IT REMINDED ME SO MUCH OF MY HUSBANDS FAMILY. ESPECIALLY DOLLYS MOTHER. I LAUGHED , I CRIED, I GUESS YOU COULD SAY YOU RUN THE GAMBIT OF EMOTIONS WITH THIS BOOK. DOLLY'S SISTER DID A GREAT JOB. IT WAS VERY WELL WRITTEN AND I WAS SO GLAD SHE INCLUDED SOME PICTURES OF THEM AT DIFFERENT AGES. This is a great book. It is well organized and detailed on how to start recruiting. It's great for a first time beginner like myself. I have read the Headhunting housewife which does not compare to this book. I would recommend this book for busines programs that have courses on recruitment. Even if you are an experienced recruiter, I think this book would be helpful to you too. There are sections where it acknowledges the challenges in recruiting and it validates your struggles, which is encouraging to me.
I am a new recruiter and am glad for reading this book because it really teaches me the steps to take in getting new clients and how to make those cold calls. There are guided scripts on what to say for various situations. This will help new recruiters who are starting out, on how to handle clients who are not interested. In addition, this book has steps on how to find clients and candidates appropriately. I wish I had bought this book first, it would have save me money. Other books do not compare to this one. Buy this book.

I am almost done reading this book and it is fantastic. I'm currently an HR Generalist recruiting for the organization I work for and have been interested in executive recruiting for about 4 years now. I had to gain experience and confidence that I'm now wrapping my head around having read this book. I'm getting ready to venture on my own and jump into this industry with both feet and be a Rich Recruiter! Brilliantly written and explains everything you need to know to be successful. If you're flirting with the idea of recruiting or working from home...but this book. It won't disappoint.

A heartwrenching, heartfelt account of the author's experiences during the Holocaust. The author really has a way with words and a wonderful ability to describe how it felt to be hunted and trying to hide from the Nazis. I recommend it.

beware! the kindle edition of this book only included the first four chapters (out of 19). Nowhere in the description did it say that this was not the entire book. Had to cancel the order and get a refund. The book itself is probably good based on the little bit I looked at.

A Disappointing Anthology of Bluegrass Tablature

I would expect a better anthology from a respectable company like HL. This was put together haphazardly, and there are a number of flaws to the presentation. The songs are NOT listed alphabetically, but somewhat-alpha. Many of the credits are incorrect. For example, a number of songs that were made popular by The Stanley Brothers and Ralph Stanley & The Clinch Mountain Boys are credited to Ralph, when in reality they were written by brother Carter Stanley. The biggest flub is the inclusion of "Blue Moon of Kentucky." Instead of providing sheet music/tablature of one of the two versions recorded by Bill Monroe, the publisher chose to present the rockabilly version made famous by Elvis Presley (complete with stuttering lyrics). As a listing of best-known bluegrass songs, this book is good. However, there are definitely better bluegrass "fake books" out there.

Disappointing anthology

This is not a terrible book; it's just a little juvenile and might be disappointing to the adult devotee who, seduced by the word "big" in the title, might be expecting a more comprehensive compilation of classic bluegrass songs. As soon as I received and examined my copy I donated it to the local creative arts high school library, where it should be a good fit.

Great source for original lyrics and sheet music

I hope that some royalties make it to the various parties responsible for these even if the original composers have died. Some of the lyrics and song keys have changed as I suppose is common with "folk" type music that is commonly passed down in an oral tradition but a handy resource for bluegrassers seeking original source material. Yes a lot of credits are given to the first person who got it down on paper after many years in the public domain but what are you gonna do?

i just wish the story was more engulfed more details, more thoughts, more tid bits. It jumps, and gets right to the story and right to the point, yet leaves you handing for the next book. These books was a great read, I know Dane stole Lynn from his brother out of spite but true love always prevails. With all that said I think Dane care about her so that makes me sad for him, but that' what happens when you play games. My only wish was to see her and Simon get married.

As a read- aloud, it would provide students with a colorful overview of Serra's life, al though one that is simplistic and unfail ingly positive. Not just Missionary:Visionary

I think this book does an excellent job for students and parents/adults alike, to see just how influential and positive Father Junipero Serra really was. He was a man who had extraordinary vision for the lives of the people he touched. He was committed in his faith, and this biography depicts this strongly. Also, students will learn of his fortitude in tough times, as well as his ability to find the good in everyone and in every situation. The illustrations are rich, full of life, yet the text is still inviting to younger readers. After you come to the end of this book, you feel like you had a small glimpse into the life of an incredible individual. Though a bit long for some younger readers, this is a must read for anyone interested in the birth and formation of California Missions.
